About CCFR
The Central County Fire and Rescue Fire Protection District (CCFR) was organized in 1998 by the consolidation of the St. Peters and St. Charles Fire Protection Districts. Central County Fire and Rescue currently provides emergency services to approximately 90,000 residents in a 72 square mile area. Six stations are staffed by full-time firefighters 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

During 2006, Central County Fire and Rescue responded to over 4990 calls for emergency services which includes but is not limited to structure and vehicle fires, automatic alarms, motor vehicle crashes, and EMS responses. The Fire Prevention Bureau issued 512 fire prevention permits and conducted over 2,500 fire safety inspections resulting in one of the lowest commercial/industrial fire loss rates in the St. Louis Metro area. Firefighters performed 822 Public Education events reaching a total of 24,174 adults and 24,354 children and tested or installed 717 smoke alarms in citizen’s homes.

Central County Fire and Rescue continues to be the sponsoring agency for the St. Charles County SAFE Kids Coalition. During 2006 Central County Fire and Rescue firefighters inspected and installed 694 car seats at no charge for families in our Fire District.
