The Bureau of Departmental and Professional Services is responsible for the planning, coordinating, overseeing and evaluating all training activities and records.
Central County Fire & Rescue is always striving to be on top by continually training. In addition many members attend various schools to make sure
that our members are among the best in the area.
Fire Academy
Central County Fire & Rescue is an active participating member of the St. Charles County Fire Academy.
The St. Charles County Fire Academy Firefighter I
and II Program follows the traditional school year beginning in
September with certification testing and graduation in June. Classes
are held on Monday and Thursday nights from 7 to 10 PM, and two
Saturdays per month from 8 AM to 4 PM.
Cadet
candidates may be eligible for admission into the program through
sponsorship by one of the eleven fire districts or departments in St.
Charles County. The application period is open from July 1 through July
31 by following the directions in the application packets, which are
available beginning June 15 through one of the sponsoring fire
districts/departments. Only cadets with applications signed by the
sponsoring agency's fire chief, and being at least 18 years of age,
possessing a high school diploma and current CPR certification, and
meeting all the requirements outlined in the packets will be eligible
for admission.
