Smoke Detector Check

Friday morning September 5, Central County Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the Jackson Place Apartments.  Unfortunately one occupant persished in this fire and others sustained smoke inhalation.  Several occupants of the apartment complex had to be evacuated as they were still asleep during the outbreak of the fire.

During the investigation of the fire it was found that several of the units did not have operating smoke detectors.
